News and Whatnot

Hey friends and fans! The book preview video is up for voting here: http://yougottareadvideos.blogspot.com/ It’s #12 on the poll list on the right side. Vote, vote, vote! : )

Also, Aimee over at A Book Dork blog has posted a review, head on over and check it out: http://www.abookdork.com/

Lastly, two lucky readers on GoodReads.com won a signed copy of the book! Congratulations to Viviane and Gayle!

We had some small tornados here in Billings, Montana yesterday afternoon, but thankfully they were on the other side of town and we’re doing just fine. Lots of damage to the sports arena. My daughter and I had been there just the night before for an indoor football game! Whew!

Reading Choices

I have a question friends and readers: How do you decide what to read? What methods do you use to determine if a book is right for you? Do you read reviews? If so, where do you go to find them and what do you look for in a review? Recommendations from friends? Pretty cover?

For myself, I tend to go on friend recommendations the most I suppose, but if I’m in the store or browsing online, I’ll look at the cover and the back blurb to see if it’s something I might like. I can’t really say I pay much attention to reviews — but I know from experience that I’m not your average shopper! So, please enlighten me to your browsing/buying habits.

The Next Hollywood Blockbuster!

Here’s something fun! Go to http://storycasting.com/ and you can cast the book “A Measure of Disorder” with your favorite movie stars as your favorite characters from the book! I think Catherine Zeta-Jones would be a great Mrs. Osorio… what do you think?
